upgrades systems

The Government Service Insurance System in Dumaguete City yesterday apologized for the inconvenience its members will suffer, as part of its systems and hardware upgrading.

GSIS said in a statement it issued that the upgrading will take more time due to data recovery activities.

Risty Villahermosa of the local GSIS assured, though, that the agency will continue to accept the filing of loan applications by batch through accredited liaison officers in government agencies.

Members may obtain application forms from them and submit the documents to the liaison officer.  Loan applicants will receive a text message from GSIS informing them that the kiosk can be accessed for loan applications, Villahermosa added.

As of press time yesterday, the G-W@PS kiosk of GSIS was turned off and members will not be able to access their data through it while the systems upgrading continues.

Members will be notified as soon as the upgrading has been completed.*RG
