under CARP expected


A 40-percent fund allocation is expected for support services under this five-year extension of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program, Agrarian Reform Officer Grace Fua of Negros Oriental said at yesterday’s 21st CARP anniversary in Dumaguete City

Fua acknowledged their partner non-government organizations and farmers who helped in working out the extension.

Also present at the program following a thanksgiving mass were assistant regional director for Administration of the Department of Agrarian Reform in Region 7, Nevino Cardente; Harold Tan of Land Bank of the Philippines, and PARCCOM chairperson Emmanuel Torreda.

In the afternoon, a cooking contest was held at DAR Provincial Office participated in by selected women farmers groups.*RG
