Bacolod boxing gab to
draw 150 delegates

BY ADRIAN NEMES III

About 150 international boxing enthusiasts are expected to attend the World Professional Boxing Federation and the United States Boxing Council convention, set October in Bacolod City.

Convention chairman and Bacolod Councilor Alex Paglumotan said that they are now on the process of organizing the activities for the five-day boxing gab.

Paglumotan said that during the meet, Filipino boxers will come face to face with boxers from the United States, African Boxing Groups, Japan, and People’s Republic of China, Thailand, Russian and Baltic Republics, and other affiliates of the WPBF-USBC for different title bouts.

Boxing topic clinics will also be held for aspiring boxers and boxing enthusiasts, he said.

WPBF-USBC was formerly a Virginia, USA-based non-profit governing body that sanctions world title championships, the organization’s website said.

The organization is now based in New York, U.S.A., with regional Asian Headquarters at the City of Wuhan, Peoples Republic of China.

WPBF-USBC has more than a hundred member countries and professional boxing organizations affiliates.*APN
