Seeded teams fall
in Probac tourney

It was a night of upsets as frontrunners BBC and Tigers Energy Biscuit fell off from their comfortable perch on the top as lower seeded rivals Fil-Sino Athletic Club and Boston/Redhouse stole the limelight Friday, in the 9th Probac Invitational Games at West Negros University Gym in Bacolod City.

Getting off to a good start, Fil-Sino took the first quarter, 18-11, behind the consistent performance of Ronald Arabia to throw off course the highly-motivated BBC who yielded, 80-78 in the final tally.

Finding their rhythm in the second quarter, BBC outscored Fil-Sino, 25-10, to get back in the driver’s seat at the end of the first half, 36-28.

Red team fails
to nail first win

The attempt of the Red Team of Police Stations 4 and 5 to have their first win in the ongoing Bacolod City Police Office Inter-Color Basketball tournament came to halt when they were beaten by City Mobile Group Maroon Team, 81-78 in the first game Monday at the Villamonte Gym in Bacolod City.

Red Team’s swingman Police Officer 2 Adan Labrador scored 29 points for the team but this was not enough to stop the Maroon team from recovering their loss from the hands of the blue team of Police Station 10.

The Red team, under the auspices of Inspector Renato Ofamen remained at the bottom of the team standing with no wins and 6 losses.
