PDIC gives claims
of RBS depositors

Hundreds of depositors trooped to claim their deposits at the Rural Bank of Subandaku Inc. in Dumaguete City, after its management was placed under the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corp.

PDIC personnel from Manila are accepting claims at the RBSI branch until May 26.

Depositors are advised to personally file their claims with evidence of deposits that should include original savings passbooks, certificate of time deposits, and current accounts and bank statements for current accounts.

To ensure orderliness in the filing of claims for insured deposits, PDIC officials headed by Lilian Zerna, vice president for insurance group, enjoined depositors to strictly observe their appointment dates with control numbers.*JG
