1st WV Jet Ski Cup
at BREDCO today

More than 30 participants are expected to join the two-day Western Visayas Invitational Jet Ski Cup at the BREDCO Port in Bacolod City starting today.

A practice run will start at 10 a.m. today, while the jet ski competition will start at 2 p.m.

A night market bazaar opens at 5 p.m. followed by a car audio sound off by Western Electronics starting 6 p.m., and party band by Undertow at 8 p.m.

The finals of the jet ski competition starts at 10 a.m. on Sunday and awarding of winners will be held at the Resto Grill sa Baybay at 9 p.m. with actress Gretchen Baretto as guest of honor.

Himamaylan vs. Hinigaran
in Under-24 basketball tiff


Carrying an identical 4-1 win-loss card, the Himamaylan and Hinigaran Under-24 basketball squads will try to demolish each other today for a twice-to-beat advantage in the finals of the 1st Cong. Arroyo 5th District Summer Games ’09.

Set at 3 p.m., the game will be played at the homecourt of the Hinigaran quintet.

Himamaylan is set to avenge its loss to Hinigaran in their previous encounter during the eliminations.

NOHS Class ’73 eyes
back-to-back title

The 2nd Negros Occidental High School Alumni Association Inc. Bowling Tournament will start tomorrow at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City at 3 p.m.

Tournament chairman George Acot said defending champion Class ’73 Globelines headed by Jose Butch Villagracia, Cesar Sumaylo’s group and first runner-up Class ’82 and Romel Jover’s Class ’74 lead the cast of participating teams vying for the tournament’s crown in the premiere class A division.

Class B category champion Class ’89, spearheaded by Richard Biasca, and Ruby Cordero’s Class ’84 are competing in this event.
