Gibo has good chance
in 2010 polls – Zayco
BY CARLA GOMEZ

Negros Occidental Gov. Isidro Zayco, Lakas-Kampi-CMD provincial head, said if all those who attended their party convention yesterday throw their support behind former Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro and his running mate actor Edu Manzano, there is a very good chance they will win in 2010.

“The Lakas-Kampi-CMD nationwide grassroots organization will propel the Gibo-Edu tandem to victory in next years election,” said Rep. Alfredo Marañon III (Neg. Occ., 2 nd District), who was also at the party convention at the Philippine International Convention Center.

President Gloria Arroyo at the convention relinquished her post as Lakas-Kampi-CMD national chairperson, and urged party members to work hard to ensure the victory of Teodoro and Manzano. moremoremore

Ceneco to charge 97C more

The Central Negros Electric Cooperative will start charging its member-consumers a Universal Charge-Missionary Electrification charge of P0.978/kWh starting the next billing period of November 2009.

CENECO, in a press statement, said the fee is in compliance with a directive from the Energy Regulatory Commission through ERC Case No. 2009-028 RC.

The added charge on consumers was granted by the ERC after a motion for clarification filed on Oct. 1, 2009 by the National Power Corp.-Small Power Utilities Group, seeking clarification on whether it may use a portion of the provisionally approved UC-Me for the subsidy of new power producers and a qualified third party, CENECO said. moremoremore
