Kabankalan ordered
to return market site

The Kabankalan City government is appealing a Regional Trial Court order for it to return the property where its old city market stands to the heirs of its original owner, city lawyer Maphilindo Polvora said yesterday.

Kabankalan RTC Judge Henry Arles on Oct. 26 ordered the Kabankalan City government represented by Mayor Pedro Zayco to return the property on which the old market stands to the heirs of the late Jose Coloso, represented by Encarnacion Coloso.

The claim of Kabankalan City that Lot 2510 (111) was donated to it by Jose and Anatalia Coloso through a deed of donation is unsupported by evidence, Arles said in his 9-page decision, a copy of which was furnished to the DAILY STAR by Coloso's lawyer Joemax Ortiz said. moremoremore
