The final schedule for this year’s Western Visayas Regional Athletic Association meet has been set on March 14 to 19 as workers double their time to get the Calangcang Sports Complex in Makato, Aklan ready in time for the competition.

With thousands of delegates expected to join in the weeklong sports and cultural meet, the Aklan provincial government has been coordinating closely with the Department of Education, Dr. Mary Ann Lopez of the DepEd said.

She said the provincial government funded last year some P80 million fund in cooperation with the Aklan State University for the construction of the sports complex.

Reports from Aklan said the sports complex is already more than 80 percent completed and construction will be completed in time for the competition in March.*NAB
