| 3 teenagers held up
Three teenagers were held up by four men who threatened them with icepick at about 12:45 a.m. yesterday in Brgy. 19, Bacolod City.
Police identified the victims as Rachel Tornea, 18, of Brgy. 20, Danni Kier Delatado, 19, of Brgy. Alijis, and Joan Buencuchillo, 19, of Fortune Towne Subdivision, Bacolod.
Tornea, Delatado and Buencuchillo told the police they were walking along the junction of Burgos Street and GV road when the four male persons approached, threatened them and declared a hold-up.
The suspects took Tornea’s gold necklace and two cellular phones, Delatado’s cellular phone and silver necklace, and Buencuchillo’s bag containing his cellular phone, rubber shoes, blouse and wallet with school permit and P320 in cash and fled towards the GV road, police records showed.
The victims sought the help of Station 4 policemen, who conducted a follow up operation but failed to arrest the suspects. However, one of them was identified by the victims through the Rogue’s Gallery.
On Wednesday, Mary Joy Aguirre, 24, of Maquiling Street, Brgy. Villamonte also reported that she was held up in the baranggay at about 2 a.m.
Aguirre said that she was walking with her mother at Maquiling Street when three men on a motorcycle stopped near them. Two of the men alighted, held them up at knife point and took a box of multi-vitamins, a wrist watch, and a cellular phone.*APN

Informant
receives cash reward
An informant who had helped policemen in the arrest of the number one most wanted person in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, yesterday received P10,000 as cash rewards from Rep. Julio Ledesma IV, police chief Supt. Harold Tuzon said.
Teodoro Pardillo, alias Tibor, who has three pending arrest warrants for the crimes of murder, frustrated murder and violation of the Commission on Elections gun ban, was arrested yesterday by a joint team of San Carlos policemen and operatives of the Regional Intelligence Unit 6 at Magsaysay Street in Brgy. Villamonte, Bacolod City.
Tuzon said Pardillo was tagged as the gunman in the fatal shooting of Concepcion Gonzales Lerio and caused injuries to Jason Ibanez, both employees of the San Carlos Drug Testing Center, at the Centermall in San Carlos City in January 2007.
Police investigations also showed that the shooting incident stemmed from business rivalries.
Pardillo was denied bail by San Carlos Regional Trial Court Judge Katherine Go for the murder charges, police records show.

9 persons nabbed
for illegal gambling
Nine persons were arrested in successive saturation drives against illegal gambling conducted by Station 2 policemen in Brgy. 2 and at 17th Street, in Bacolod City yesterday.
The team led by Police Officer 3 Anthony Marijana, with Albert Gancia and Rodolfo Jalandoni of the Centennial Force Foundation, arrested five persons at about 1:30 a.m. in Purok Cagaycay, Brgy. 2, for playing “cara y cruz,” an illegal coin game.
Arrested were Michael Yasas, 24, and Edil Meñosa, 29, both of Purok Cagaycay, Eduard Mirasol, 27, of Ramos Street, Eric Peñero, 32, of Brgy. 4, and Ramie Peligrino, 31, of Hinigaran town, Negros Occidental.
Three cue coins, P116 in cash, a homemade cement block, chairs, a tarpaulin and a light bulb were seized from them, police records showed.
Meanwhile, Police Officers 2 Clint William Ferrer and Benjamin Jamora arrested Dennis Robles, 18, and Albert Villacarelyo, 25, Albert Vidad, 25, and a 17-year-old, all of Purok Magnolia, Brgy. 7, for allegedly playing a local gambling game called “bug-oy” at 17th Street.
Ferrer and Jamora recovered P40 in cash and eight pieces of batad shells from them. A 7-inch knife was also seized from one of them, police records showed.
Those arrested are now in the custody of Police Station 2, and illegal gambling charges will be filed against them.*APN
