RJ Stars maintain
lead in bowling tilt

RJ Stars/NPBC I kept the leadership after three straight outings, as they struck 1,684 pinfalls to set the new record in team triple in the ongoing NOHS Class ’89-organized “Five-Man Team Fun Bowl” at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

The new record eclipsed the old mark established by 69Ner’s of 1,657 in the early rounds.

RJ Stars spearheaded by Rowena Juarez are now leading with an eight round production of 12,266 pinfalls, 290 pins ahead of second-running and sister team RJ Stars II piloted by Steve Po with 11,976.

Third is 69Ner’s led by Binoy Gepana with 11,949.

Rounding out the 12-team cast are Suppliers with 11,838; Rosita Pasalubong, 11,812; X-Men, 11,816; REA Strikers/Dep-Ed, 11,791; NOHS Class ’89 & Co., 11,675; Eco-Saver, 11,569; Financiers/Prov’l Capitol, 11,368; JASS, 10,902, and Team Justice, 10,881.

Rey Gargar of the leading club NPBC set the new mark in the individual single and triple with 177 and 410 balls in the men’s corner, as Eduardo Pueblo of Eco-saver in pinning with 96.

Mylene Santiago of Suppliers and Dean Reboton of JASS booked the record in the women’s single and triple with 135 and 352 apiece, while Class ’89 bet Ann Dayot in pinning with 91.
