PD888 Handy Fix advanced to the Class A semifinals by trouncing Toyota Bacolod/CSA-B, 85-76, while erstwhile unbeaten teams BBC and Bapro fell to Talisay City and Probac, respectively, in the 10th Tan Kek Pin Memorial Cup Basketball Tournament at Bacolod Tay Tung High School Po Hang Gym.

In Class C action at the NOMPAC Gym, Terra Dolce dealt GT Net its first loss, 78-62, while Foodman rolled over an undermanned Cebu Sendai Motor Sales, 93-68.

PD888 ended their elimination campaign with a 4-1 win-loss card while Toyota dropped to 3-2 and will play a knockout match against an undetermined opponent as of press time.

RJ Stars maintain
lead in bowling tilt

RJ Stars/NPBC I kept the leadership after three straight outings, as they struck 1,684 pinfalls to set the new record in team triple in the ongoing NOHS Class ’89-organized “Five-Man Team Fun Bowl” at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

The new record eclipsed the old mark established by 69Ner’s of 1,657 in the early rounds.

RJ Stars spearheaded by Rowena Juarez are now leading with an eight round production of 12,266 pinfalls, 290 pins ahead of second-running and sister team RJ Stars II piloted by Steve Po with 11,976.
