Six police chiefs and two other commissioned officers assigned in Negros Occidental were promoted recently, police records show.
Promoted to superintendent were Chief Inspectors Arnel Arpon and David Cachumbo, police chiefs of Sipalay and La Carlota cities, respectively.
The Senior Inspectors promoted are Edencio Gregorio – Manapla police chief, Joshua Villasusis - Pulupandan police chief, Roberto Mansueto - Hinobaan police chief, Danilo Zuniega - Calatrava police chief, Nerito Lobrido – deputy Kabankalan police chief and Celso Cabauatan – platoon leader of the 1st platoon of the Negros Occidental Public Safety Management Company.
Senior Supt. Manuel Felix, provincial police director, congratulated the eight officers for their well-deserved promotion.
Meanwhile, 74 newly graduates of the Public Safety Basic Recruit Course will be sent to various city police stations in Negros Occidental for a six-month on-the-job training, starting today.
Chief Inspector Regidor Alvarado, Negros Occidental PNP Administrative Branch chief, said the 74 Police Officers will be taught the basic rudiments of police work in the station level, as well develop their skills and knowledge learned at the Regional Training School.
Meanwhile, the Police Regional Office 6 announced yesterday that the Philippine National Police is recruiting 67 graduates of Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering as well as other communication related courses.
Supt. Ranulfo Demiar said the PRO6 has been allocated four slots of the 67 quota for its support unit- the Regional Communications and Electronics Office.
Demiar advised those interested to present their application folders to the RCEO6 at Camp Martin Delgado in Iloilo City.*GPB
