Province moved up to 2-0 after beating Toyota Bacolod/CSA-B, 84-76, while PD888 HandyFix handed Globe Asiatique La Salle a crucial 77-64 loss in Class A semi-finals action of the 10th Tan Kek Pin Memorial Cup Basketball Tournament at Bacolod Tay Tung High School Po Hang Gym.

Province took the half, 47-32, as 13 of the 14 players fielded by coach Godoy Cepriano, led by Mark Ramos and Ryan Maningo, scored while Jun Jun Lastimosa and Paul Hechanova carried the battle for Toyota.

Suppliers beat RJ Stars
in NOHS Fun Bowl tilt

Suppliers Team beat RJ Stars/NPBC to win the crown in the team competition of the recent NOHS Class ’89 Fun Bowl at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

Two Suppliers bets, Lito Tonogbanua and Susan Robles, also bagged the master bowler title in their divisions, beating topseed Boy Casio of X-Men and Lars del Castillo of RJ Stars in the top four survivors.

The Suppliers, composed of Orly Guiljon, Otoy Jardio, Lito Tonogbanua, Carl Barbosa and Susan Robles, downed the twice-to-beat RJ Stars represented by Rowena Juarez, Rey Gargar, Joval Damasco, Sammy Gaitan and Melchor Semillano in the finals, 539-528, to win the top purse.

Tronco places 3rd in jungolf

Negrense junior golfer Joaquin Leandro Figura Tronco, 7, carded an 80 to clinch third place in the 25th Edition of the Champions for the Future Kids Golf Tournament at the Riviera Sports Club in Silang, Cavite, Saturday.

 The young Tronco went held his ground against US Kids Golf European Champion, fellow RP Team member Philippe Winsett Palanca, and Connor Cully to finish in the top three of the competition.

Though tied with Cully at 80, Tronco bagged the second runner-up honors due to a countback on the 18th hole.
