Snatchers strike again

Snatchers riding on motorcycles struck again in Bacolod City and victimized six women Saturday and yesterday, police records showed.

Christine Diamante, 19, of Brgy. Punta Taytay, Bacolod City, reported  that she was walking with her friends at Lacson Street at about 3:30 a.m. yesterday, when one of the two men on a motorcycle snatched her bag and fled.

Diamante said her bag contained a cellular phone valued at P4,000, a headset, cards and wallet with P950 in cash.

Leorina Ridoutt, 36, of 13th-Lacson Street, Bacolod also sought police help claiming that a man and a woman snatched her bag while she was standing with her house helper in front of the Mayfair Plaza Building at about 5 a.m. yesterday.

Ridoutt said her bag contained three cellular phones valued at P44,000, a plane ticket and P1,500 in cash. She added that the suspects boarded a motorcycle and fled.

Meanwhile, the bag of a store merchandiser was also snatched by one of the two men on a motorcycle while she was walking along Lizares Extension at about 5 p.m. Saturday.

Jovelyn Ortibano, 31, of Rizal Street, Valladolid town, Negros Occidental, told the police that her bag contained 2 cellular phones valued at P10,000, cell phone chargers, headsets, P180 in cash anddocuments.

An hour after Judith Kaquilala, 34, of Purok Lampirong, Brgy. 6, Bacolod also reported to the police that one of two men on a motorcycle also snatched her bag with P50 in cash and identification cards in front of the Provincial Capitol Lagoon.

Jovie Sison, 47, and Rizzie Uberas 24, both of Brgy. Sum-ag, Bacolodalso said one oftwo men on a motorcycle grabbed her bag Satruday night while hewas  walking at Rosario-Gatuslao streets, Bacolod.

Sison said her bag contained a check for  P5,000, a cellular phone, identification cards, keys, eye glasses and P200 in cash, while Uberas said her bag contained her wallet, cellular phone, gold necklace and bracelet, and identification cards.*APN
