Aksyon Radyo-Bacolod news chief Julius Mariveles was elected president of the Negros Press Club Saturday.

Out of 76 votes cast Mariveles garnered 38, while his challengers  Henceboy Cestina garnered 26 and Celso “Tots” Jimenez got 11.

Annie Calderon of Sunshine Channel was elected  vice president with 33 votes over Manny Canto  with 19, Edith Colmo -  14 and Ranie Azue – 8.

Aksyon Radyo-Bacolod City Hall beat reporter Cely Carman was unopposed  for secretary, while Panay News' Mae Singuay won as treasurer with  33 over Lorena Martinez – 31.

Bombo Radyo’s Arnold Diaz was also unopposed for auditor.

The winning members of the board were  Chrysee Samillano of Visayan DAILY STAR the topnotcher with  49 votes, Serge Santillan of RMN – 38 votes, Nonoy Lampines of Sunshine Channel  - 35,  and Danny Dangcalan  of Panay News and Elmer Ubaldo of DYAF tied at 31 votes.*CPG
