La Salle beats UNO-R
in TKP Class A battle

Globe Asiatique La Salle overwhelmed UNO-Recoletos, 97-70, in Class A action while Bapro, Filsino Selection and BBC won in their respective division in the 10th Tan Kek Pin Memorial Basketball Cup at Bacolod Tay Tung High School Po Hang Gym.

Recoletos took the first quarter, 21-15, as Joemel Paderog scored 10 of the team’s first 14 points while La Salle fell behind with only Eman Badillo keeping things up at the other side of the court with seven points.

By the second quarter, La Salle responded to the challenged posed by the coaching staff as they employed a full court man-to-man pressure and showed more intensity and tenacity to tie the game at 44-all during the break.
