Negros dev’t plan

The Provincial Development Council approved the Negros Occidental Provincial Development and Physical Framework Plan yesterday, Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. said.

However, the PDPFP still needs the approval of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan before it can be implemented.

Once approved by the SP, copies will be submitted to the National Economic Development Authority and the Asian Development Bank, Provincial Planning and Development Officer Marlin Sanogal said.

The PDPFP is an updated version of the Provincial Medium Term Development Plan and Provincial Physical Framework Plan.

The PDPFP aims to provide a brief background on the province, its planning context and environment so as to provide analytical and comprehensive basis for identifying development programs based on its overall provincial vision, she said.*CPG
