SVG Ferti-Plus/Blue stole the show in the first game of action in the championship rounds of the 20th Chapter of the Inter-Molasses Bowling Tournament at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

Headed by Nonoy Calvo, the leading Blue Team garnered a three games output of 530, 564 and 567 to lead the 3-team cast in the premiere Class A Division for a total of 1,661 balls.

Nora Bascos Balayan Distillery Inc.- Red occupied the second spot with 1,617, while elimination topnotcher JCB Landings, Inc.- White of Pitok Bustamante completed the pack with a measly performance of 1,509 in the opening round.

The competitors will play a two games double round-robin contest where the top squad will be declared the champion.

Bacolod Astar Transport –Tangerine Team leads category B with 1,530 pinfalls. Progressive Chemical Trade - Apple Green Team and Matador Primo – Gold rounded out the three-team cast with 1,417 and 1,415, apiece.

The three squads will follow the same format in Class A Bracket in determining the winner.

SVG is holding the record in the team’s highest single with 588, while Balayan in triple with 1,667.

In the individual contest, Nonoy Ruiz of Green Team registered the new record in highest pinning with 93 eclipsing the old mark set by Hernand Garciniego of SVG of 92.

Sylvia Del Rosario of Bacolod Astar in the women’s highest pinning with 90.

Balayan bet Edgar De Leon registered the men’s highest single and triple with 157 and 420 balls, while Cheryl Ramos of Astar in the women’s single and triple with 119 and 319, respectively.
