Tan’s second half triples turn back JSY Transport in Fil-Sino cagefest

Stephen Tan picked the right time to shine as he drilled eight triples in the second half as Basecom turned back JSY Transport, 117-103 in the Fil-Sino All Asian Countertrade Inc. 2nd Conference Inter-Color Basketball Tournament at the Bacolod Tay Tung High School Po Hang Gym.

In the other game, JSY Countertrade scored its second straight victory by prevailing over Royal Star Trading, 91-82.

Tan’s explosive treys in the third and fourth quarters  complemented the 38-point output of Kirrel Brahndon Montalbo as Basecom cruised to its third victory after four games.

Lincoln Dongon anchored the second set with 128 pinfalls and Jonathan Chua delivered 110 to give Team 6 a 7-0 record in the ongoing Bacolod Tay Tung High School Alumni bowling tournament at Lopue's East Bowling Center.

Gaining the solo leadership, Team 6 rolled a two-game aggregate of 959 pinfalls against Team 10's 939, negating Gildo Ang's 118 and Paoping Leong's high scoring double game of 107-111.

Team 10 is tied at fourth place in the team standing with a 3-3 win-loss card, same with Team 8 which had a 919-546 edge against Team 4 as Marie Joan Garcia scored 100 and 121, respectively.
