Wedding bells

LA VIDA NEGRENSE

It was a grand wedding ceremony for William Mirano Jr. and Dr. Julie Ana Abrera who said their “I do’s” at the Sta. Clara Chapel in Bacolod City recently.

Chac is the youngest of the children of Negrense lawyer William Sr. and the lovely Conchita Halili Mirano, while Dr. Julie is the daughter of the late George Abrera and Julie Sescon-Abrera of Zamboanga.

The much awaited wedding was well attended by everyone close to the couple’s heart. Reception followed at Bacolod’s La Proa Ballroom of L’Fisher Hotel.

At the reception, the couple was greeted by familiar smiling faces and happy cheers. There was never a dull moment that evening. For the bride, the highlight of the evening was when Chac sang to her “Everything” by Michael Buble.  Julie was the blushing bride as he went on to sing, “You don’t marry someone you can live with, but rather, you marry the person you cannot live without.”

Julie said that, as the day ended, reality crept in that “everything has come full circle and her childhood fantasy of wedding bells resounded on the day that she became Mrs. William “Chac” Halili Mirano Jr.”

The groom currently works at his dad’s law firm, while the bride is connected with the Bacolod Animal Hospital.*
