DAR holds forum
on CARP updates

The Department of Agrarian Reform-VI this week provided legal assistance on recent agrarian jurisprudence, administrative orders, and on the barangay agrarian reform council at the Mambukal Resort in Murcia, Negros Occidental.

Gloria Cañonero of DAR-Negros said legal officers and lawyers from six provincial offices in the region presented legal issues and concerns on the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program and its hindering and facilitating factors.

She said all legal officers also discussed the latest agrarian reform jurisprudence, administrative orders, roles and functions of all legal officers, and the re-organization of BARC.

DAR regional director Alexis Arsenal led the assessment with Felicidad Bañares, assistant regional director for operations, and Felix Servidad, provincial agrarian reform officer-Negros, and agrarian reform officers, Cañonero added.*LTG
