Swing for Change
tees off today

The 1st Swing For Change Golf Tournament organized by the Negros Volunteers for Change Foundation tees off today at the Marapara Negros Occidental Golf and Country Club in Bacolod City.

GSIS chairman and NVC trustee Daniel Lacson Jr. said they will hold the ceremonial tee off at around 11:45 a.m. with the tournament sponsors and organizers leading the ceremonies.

Around 150 golfers from different clubs in Manila, Cebu, Iloilo, Dumaguete, and host Negros Occidental are expected to join the tournament, Lacson said.

A fund raising event for the benefit of the various projects of the NVC, among them building of classrooms in public schools in Negros, the tournament also hopes to showcase the domestic tourism in Negros, he added.

With corporate sponsors supporting the event, he said prizes will be given to the winners at the end of the tournament tomorrow.*NAB
