BBC faces Akasya Grill in
USLS-LNA7 cagefest

It will be another exciting game tonight when No. 2 team BBC takes on Akasya No. 4 Akasya Grill in the second round of eliminations of the LNA7-USLS Alumni Inter-Barkada Basketball Tournament at the West Negros University gym.

BBC will be trying to avoid an upset at the hands of the Akasya Grill after tournament frontrunner Amazing Batch ’09 escaped with a 78-73 win against Glitter Productions ’03-’04 in Wednesday nights’ game.

After trailing Glitter 16-21 in the first quarter and falling behind at halftime, 28-35, Amazing bounced back in the third canto to tie the score at 47-all going into the payoff period.

With Nico Lopingco delivering four alley-oops plays in the final quarter, Amazing crushed Glitter as Dumancas finished with 28 points Fifi Sayson with 16 points and Lopingco, 14 points for Amazing.

Mark Celestial led Glitter with 18 points, Eduard Castellano contributed 15,  and Donie Aspero chipped in 11 points for Glitter.*NAB
