Licensing division
starts checks on firms

The Bacolod City Permits and Licensing Division is conducting a full blast inspection on all business establishments in its area, a press release from the city said.

Sonny Petierre, head of Permits and Licensing Division, said a team of 20 field inspectors will inspect all business establishments and persons engaging in business to see if they have the necessary permits and licenses to operate.

Personnel from the Public Assistance and Affairs Division will help in the operation, the press release said.

Petierre said establishments who still do not have permits and licenses will be given a three-day allowance to secure a mayor’s permit.

Business establishments that fail to comply will be recommended for closure, the press release said.

Petierre appealed to all business establishments to secure their permits and licenses so that they can continually operate and engage in business.

The inspection of business permits and license is conducted every year by the Permits and Licensing Division, the press release said.*
