Negros Team vs. Japan in
friendly football game

A selection of Negrense booters, playing under the banner of the Negros First Team will pit their skills against a visiting squad from Japan on Thursday in a friendly match set 10 a.m. at the Panaad pitch in Brgy. Mansilingan, Bacolod City.

Provincial Sports Coordinator Angel Verdeflor said the goodwill game is part of the 50th anniversary celebration of the Organization for Industrial Spiritual and Cultural Advancement (OISCA)-Philippines Chapter scheduled from August 23-25.

The Negros First team will be mentored by former national team head coach Norman Fegidero with Paul Espinosa as assistant coach.

Composing the initial line-up of the team are keepers Bon Jovi Umbao and Alfred Zuñega, Crismelo aguilar, Marcelo Desucatan, Jazel Duazo, John Carlo Lucero, Noel Madraga, Marti Malubay, Ray Romy Malundo, Christ Je Opelario, Rudennis Palomo, Neil Patrick Quezada, Daniel Ramos, Eduardo Requiron, Alfie Sebuha, Abner Uberas, Jerc Umadhay, JemarCioson, Raynell Fgidero and Femar Suganob.

Fegidero said the team is mostly composed of players aged 17 and under from West Negros University.*NAB
