SBP appoints Bat-og
 for prov’l referee post

Retired school teacher Felipe Bat-og was recently appointed as Provincial Referee Coordinator of Negros Occidental of the Samahang Basketbol Ng Pilipinas by Region 6 Director Robert Uy, a press release from the SBP said.

Bat-og, along with four other appointees, were sworn in by SBP executive vice president Sonny Barrios in a ceremony held recently at Café Laguna, SM City in Manduriao, Iloilo City.

As provincial coordinator, Bat-og is task to promote and implement the various approved programs and plans of SBP to uplift the sport in his area, the press release said.

He is also mandated to report and coordinate with the SBP regional, attend all conferences, meetings and tournaments where his presence is required, perform activities in accordance with the principles of fair play, transparency and good governance.

Also appointed together with Bat-og were Alfonso Alfaro (Iloilo), Richel Militar (Aklan), Sunny Padrico (Antique), and Stephen Orillanes (Capiz).

NOPSCCEA Tournament Manager and West Negros University Athletic Director Anthony Agustin is the SBP provincial director for Negros Occidental.*
