NVC marks one year

BUDDAI

The Negrense  Volunteers for Change Foundation headed by Millie Kilayko turned a year old and held a Thanksgiving Mass at the Carmelite Church in Brgy. Mandalagan, Bacolod, Saturday officiated by Msgr. Gigi Gaston, who is also a member of its board of trustees.

The members, who are volunteers from the cities and municipalities of Negros Occidental, later gathered for a general assembly at the Agape Hall, and held a friendly Bingo game after lunch.

The NVC was established as a SEC-registered foundation last year shortly after President Benigno Aquino III was sworn in.

In less than a year, its volunteers implemented projects in the field of social services, education and livelihood, and the construction of 72 classrooms for pre-school students in partnership with AGAPP Foundation chaired by Pinky Aquino Abellada and Senator Serge Osmeña III.

The lucky jackpot winners of the bingo were Butch Ebreo and Alynne Batano.

Remember: The Bible is God’s prescription for the health of our soul. The more you love the Lord, the more you will love others.*
