homicide suspect


A man wanted for homicide was arrested by members of the Police Regional Intelligence Unit-6 at about 8 p.m. Tuesday in Murcia town, Negros Occidental.

Arrested was Joemarie Dioquite, “alias Jojo”, 31, of Hacienda Josefa Dos in Brgy. Blumentritt, Murcia, Police Officer 3 Joshua Barile of RIU-6, said yesterday.

Barile said he and his companions arrested Dioquite on the strength of an arrest warrant issued by now retired Judge Ramon Delariate of the Regional Trial Court Branch 49, who set the bail at P40,000, on February 7, 2007.

Investigation showed that Dioquite was charged for the killing of Diane Tiano of Purok Alusiman in Brgy. Zone 14, Talisay City, Negros Occidental on November 20, 2006. He is now detained at the Murcia town police station.*APN
