Diamonds are a
girl’s best friend!

ivy

It was an evening that Bacolod society will long remember: an “Invitation to Love” presented by the famous Philippine jeweler,House of Milady, last Tuesday at L’Fisher Hotel’s La Proa Ballroom.

Bacolod’s ritzy crème-de-la-crème came in full force and were bedazzled by the fabulous display of priceless diamonds of all shapes, sizes and colors, not to mention the price which ranged from a “measly” hundreds of thousands of pesos for a diamond ring tomind-boggling millions forsome stunningxxx-carat diamond necklace. On hand to welcome the guests were the glamorous Dayrit siblings: Jaqui, Michelle, Mark, Christine and Yvonne.

Everything was meticulously planned and executed, from the décor to the fine hors d’oeuvre, wines and music that evoked glamour and beauty. The place was full of drop-dead-glamorous ladies and fashionistas who almost drooled at the incredibly fine jewelry worth a queen’s ransom. We saw a lot of guests bringing out their checkbooks for their purchases.

After the reception and cocktails, guests were treated to a superb Jewel Fashion Show where dazzling beauties modeled timeless pieces of jewelry while dancing and flirting audaciously on stage. A special feature of the program was famous singer-composer Joe Marie Chan, who sang romantic love songs to his swooning audience. What a delightfully elegant affair it was. It reminded all the ladies that, “Diamonds are a girl’s best friend”!*
