Close to 500 swimmers from different regions in the Philippines, including the 200 tankers from Negros Occidental, will  converge in Bacolod City on Saturday  as the 2011 Governor’s Cup National Swimming competition unfolds at the Panaad Stadium’s pool in Brgy. Mansilingan, Bacolod City.

The two-day tournament will be spearheaded by the Francisco Guanco Swimming Team – Bacolod Tankers, in cooperation with Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr., former Sen. Nikki Coseteng, Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia, and the Philippine Swimming League.

Leonardia and Coseteng are the guests of honor at the  event.
