7-a-side bootfest

Booters of the Talisay Minulu-an Football Club emerged as the champions in the Men’s Open and Under-14 Girls division in the recently-concluded Mayor Doc Eric 7-A-Side Charter Day Football Festival at the Carlos Hilado Memorial State College and Talisay City football pitches, respectively.

Host-TMFC Team-A won over TMFC Team-A Team-B, 1-0, to bag the men’s Open division as the University of St. La Salle (USLS) Men’s Varsity-A settled for second runner-up.

ESD Hurricane
keeps top post

ESD Hurricane/ASSFBI vaulted 1,053 pinfalls to keep its grasp of the No.1 post in the premiere division, as Candles/Alimon Steel and Davies Fusion I maintained their leadership in their respective categories in the Top’s Invitational Open Trio Bowling Tournament at the New Top’s Millennium Plaza Alley in Bacolod City.

Averaging 1,032 pinfalls per round, the ESD Hurricane of Edgar Allan Del Rosario is holding the top spot with a six-round output of 6,196, followed by Easyweld/NPBC with 6,039.

PFF thanks mayor
for football hosting

President Mariano Araneta, Jr., of the Philippine Football Federation, expressed his sincere gratitude to Bacolod Evelio Leonardia for his support in the recent hosting of the Philippines-Mongolia AFC qualifying football match at the Panaad Sports Stadium in Bacolod.

Araneta, in a letter Mayor Leonardia, pointed out that the Asian Football Confederation wishes to consider the event as a resounding success, significantly exceeding expectations from both the city and AFC, a Bacolod City Hall press release said.
