NPBC RJ Stars grab top
post in NSL tourney

NPBC RJ Stars sparked 1,601 pinfalls to grab the top post of the NSL organized 5-man Team Bowling Tournament at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfields Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

The Stars headed by Steve Po and Rowena Juarez are now leading the 11-team pack with a total of 9,011 followed by NOHS All Stars piloted by Cesar Sumaylo with 8,993.

Dynamic, Tri-Maxi seek
bootfest lead

The Dynamic Builders and the Tri-Maxi Agro seek a clear solo leadership on Sunday, as both teams register four wins apiece in the ongoing 2011 Dynamic Builders 9-A-Side Football Tournament played at the Ayala North in Talisay City, Negros Occidental.

Dynamic carries a 4-1 win-draw record while Tri-Maxi posts a 4-1 win-loss card.

Both teams earned their fourth victories over the weekend, after Tri-Maxi defeated Ceres Transport in the first game, 2-1, while Dynamic trashed Real Negrense Football Club in the second scheduled match, 5-1.

Azkals happy with
Benguet footballers

BAGUIO CITY -- Aly Borromeo, team captain of the Philippines' "Azkals" football team on Monday described the Benguet Province football team as "good in the sport."

The two teams had friendly games at the football field of the Benguet State University during the first day of the national team's cool climate acclimatization practice.

Borromeo also described the weather as pleasant and was happy with the warm reception given by local officials and their local fans.
