Athletes from 10 Salesian schools in the country will converged at the Don Bosco Technical Institute-Victorias on January 17-21 for the 2011 National Boscolympics.
Expected to join the competition among the Salesian schools are 800 athletes who will vie for top honors in basketball, football, volleyball, chess, table tennis and badminton.
Participating schools are Don Bosco Makati, Mandaluyong, Tarlac, Pampanga, Canlubang, Sta. Rosa, Cebu, Dumaguete and host DBTI-Victorias with the special participation of Don Bosco-Guam.
The event ushers the celebration of the 60th Foundation Anniversary of DBTI, after it was founded in 1951.
The guest team from Guam will be fielding 42 athletes in the competition, organized by the National Don Bosco Athletic Association.
After the Boscolympics, DBTI-Victorias will celebrate the Parents Day on Jan. 30 and the Feast Day of St. John Bosco on Jan 31.
