A formal complaint was filed against the Bacolod Our Lady of Mercy Specialty Hospital by its employees union yesterday for illegal dismissal, unfair labor practice, damages, and reinstatement before the National Labor Relations Commission and the first hearing is set on Feb. 22.
This was because BOLMSH failed to appear in the conciliation meeting yesterday with Romeo Pasustento single entry approach officer of NLRC regional arbitration branch VI, Labor union lawyer Gemeno Yinballa said, adding that the case was referred for hearing to the labor arbiter.
Strict enforcement of
terminal laws ordered
Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia has ordered the strict enforcement of provisions of City Ordinance No. 43, Series of 1961 and City Ordinance No. 187, Series of 1997 that provide for the establishment of the South Terminal at Lopez Jaena Street in Bacolod, a press release from the city said.
The order directs the Bacolod Traffic Authority Office, Bacolod City Police Office, City Legal Office-Enforcement Division and Public Order and Safety Office to enforce in full the provisions of C.O.NO. 187, series of 1997, requiring Public Utility Buses, Public Mini-Buses and Public Uility Jeepneys coming from the South, to proceed to and from the South Terminal at Lopez Jaena Street, taking their specified routes.
Breeding center MOA inked
Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. and Murcia Mayor Andrew Montelibano recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement for the establishment of the Negros Occidental Animal Breeding and Genetic Improvement Center in Murcia, a capitol press release said.
The signing was held at the Provincial Capitol with Board Member Melvin Ibañez, Provincial Administrator Enrique Pinongan and Provincial Veterinarian Renante Decena as witnesses.
The establishment of the center in Brgy. Cansilayan, Murcia aims to boost the livestock and poultry industry of the province, the press release said.
