German government to
give medical supplies

Local health centers in Negros Oriental will again benefit from a donation of medical supplies from the German Ministry of Defense.

Boxes filled with hospital supplies from the German Ministry of Defense are set to be turned over to the Dumaguete City Health Office and the six community primary hospitals 9 a.m. Feb. 4 at the CHO.

The donation is being facilitated by the German non-government organization Sampaguita Deutsch-Philippinischer Club, led by its Filipina chairman and founder Araceli Bejar-Heimann, together with her husband, Roland Heimann.

This is the fourth time since 2006 that the NGO facilitated the donation and shipment of medical supplies from the German government for local health centers.

Aside from the community primary hospitals and the city health office, the provincial health office in 2006 also benefited from a donation of medical supplies such as gauze bandages, syringes, needles, oxygen masks, catheters and surgical instruments.*PIA
