A check donation from the University of St. La Salle High School Class ’86 amounting to P100,000 for the One La Salle Scholarship fund was received by president and chancellor Br. Ray Suplido, during turnover rites recently, a press release from USLS in Bacolod City said.

Representing HS’ 86 during the ceremony at the President’s Office were Kerr Michael Cruz, Luigene Lacson, and Serge Velez, with alumni relations director Cugie Loarca.

The donation came from a portion of the proceeds of the One La Salle Perpetual Cup Golf Tournament organized by HS ‘86 last year at the Negros Occidental Golf and Country Club.

About 120 alumni golfers and guests representing different batches, including golfers from La Salle Taft, Green Hills, CSB, Zobel, Lipa and Iligan, as well as some Lasallian golfers from Cebu joined the tournament, the press release said.

Loarca commended the efforts HS ‘86 saying that the batch showed a good preview of a good alumni golf tournament for the coming Centennial One La Salle Perpetual Cup in November 2011.
