Class ’85 paces
NOHS bowlfest

Class ’85 posted a game-high 1,628 pinfalls to grab the upper hand in the Negros Occidental High School Inter-Class Alumni Bowling Tournament at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

The new leader took the No.1 seat through the heroics of team captain Iran Pielago, who registered the tournament’s highest single and triple at 152 and 405 pinfalls.

From the No.5 position, Class ’85 is now on top of the overall standing in the 22-team pack with 4,494, dislodging Batch ’73 pincrushers, who fell to second spot with 4,387.

Erstwhile topnotcher Class ’89 slipped down to third with 4,359 followed by Class ’82 with 4,345.

Class ’70 has 4,297; Class ’68, 4,282; Class ’72, 4,233; Class ’67, 4,231; Class ’66, 4,210; Class ’59, 4,152; Class ’71, 4,151; Class ’74, 4,093; Class ’84, 4,07; Class ’80, 3,995; Class ’90, 3,945; Class ’86, 3,849, 3,800; Class ’87, 3,763; Class ’92, 3,718; Class ’88, 3,590, and Class ’81, 3,587.

George Acot of Class ‘56/57 is still the record holder in the men’s highest pinning with 91, while Nita Biasca of Class ’58 holds the women’s pinning record with 90.

Ronella Cordero of Class ’89 recorded the women’s highest single and triple with 128 and 320 apiece.
