A man tagged as the number 9 most wanted personality of Police Station 1 was arrested at about 4 p.m. Thursday in his residence in Brgy. 36, Bacolod City.
Station 1 intelligence operative Police Officer 2 Joshua Barile yesterday identified the one arrested as Joemer Galema, 27, of Purok Litsonan, Brgy. 36.
Galema was arrested on the strength of an arrest warrant for frustrated murder issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 54 Judge Demosthenes Magallanes, who set his bail at P200,000, Barile said.
He disclosed that Galema is a suspect in the attempted murder of his neighbor, whom he identified as “Mr. Nunez” sometime in 2009 allegedly over an old family feud.
Aside from that, Galema also has two arrest warrants for frustrated homicide when he allegedly tried to kill two men in front of Metrodome in Brgy. Singcang-Airport in September last year, Barile also said.
He added that they will also verify if Galema, who is now detained at the lock-up cell of Police Station 1, has other arrest warrants so they could serve them to him.
Meanwhile, Station 4 chief, Senior Insp. Leilani Garcia reported the arrest of Rogelio Amoloria, 31, of Camia-Malaspina streets, Brgy. Villamonte, Bacolod at about 5 p.m. Thursday, for robbery.
