An ordinance seeking the creation of the Bacolod City Chinatown Center and the allocation of not less than P15 million as initial funding for the improvement of the center to honor the Filipino-Chinese communities in their contribution is being proposed by Councilor Dindo Ramos.
The ordinance said the Capitol Shopping Center will be renamed and improved as the BCCC and the Bacolod City Chinatown Development Council will be created to formulate policies and guidelines, recommend actions and possible legislation to enhance the operation, management and the physical improvement of BCCC.

Neophil Machineries Corp. and German company Green Power Philippines that provides the German-engineered solar panels and other renewable technologies, recently installed a solar power lighting system to a home in Cansilayan Murcia, a press release from the groups said.
The solar system provides lights to a room, dining hall, kitchen and the immediate perimeter area of the farm.
The whole power system is powered by two solar panels, charge controller, two high grade batteries for night operations, and a small inverter for 220 volt facilities like television, radio, cellphone charging and a small refrigerator, the press release said.

trillion 2012 budget
President Benigno Aquino III and the Cabinet have approved the proposed P1.816-trillion national budget for 2012.
The proposed budget is 10.4 percent higher than the current year’s budget of P1.645-trillion, fully reflecting his commitment to fulfill his Social Contract with the Filipino People.
“This is a budget that is focused on achieving results: that the dividends of good governance reach the poor in a direct, immediate and substantial way,” Budget and Management Secretary Florencio Abad.
