The Federation of Bacolod City Drivers Association is highly in favor of President Benigno Aquino III’s Pambansang Pantawid Pasada Program”, a Bacold City Hall press release said yesterday.
It quoted FEBACDA President Elizabeth Katalbas, on Wednesday who saying that they see the long-term benefits to operators and driver-members, during an interview at the Bacolod Government Center.
Katalbas said that 400 “Pantawid” cards have already been distributed to FEBACFA members by the Land Transportation Office. Member-drivers are happily enjoying the P2 daily rebate from Petron and Shell, or an estimated of P600 to P1,000 in 15-days’, the press release said.
She said the estimates that the LTO is releasing about 2,000 cards to those with OR/CRs or Official Receipt/Certificate of Registration. She also said unregistered operators, or those without franchises will not benefit from the program.
The Deppartment of Energy has set up a back-up fund of P1,050 for each card holder, and the FEBACDA has 18 associations with more than 2,000 members, Katalbas added.*
