Mayor Bing’s birthday
Bacolod City Mayor Bing Ramos Leonardia celebrated his birthday on Friday, July 8, at Forest Park in Brgy. Taculing.
The venue was big enough to accommodate thousands of well-wishers shaded by huge trees, bamboo cottages, and green canopies. At 10:30 a.m. a thanksgiving mass was officiated by Frs. Felix Pasquin, Naring de la Cruz, and Arnold Deletina.
Then we were off to the spacious auditorium where tables were ready to welcome visitors with their names, organization and clubs indicated. We didn’t have a hard time looking for our table: media. Two long buffet tables on both sides with food attendants were ready to help us.
It was much later, when Mayor Bing joined us, because so many well-wishers greeted him on his way to the table of Gov. Freddie Marañon. During desert time a group of singers entertained the crowd, with song and dance numbers and solo song numbers.
Then it was photo op time for everybody, and lastly Mayor Bing thanked the guests, including his family whom he introduced; wife Elsa who was around checking and entertaining visitors and thanking everybody for coming.
Also present were members of the Sangguniang Panglungsod headed by Vice Mayor Thaddeus Sayson, who were all in full force.
It was an affair to remember as the celebrator turned a year older, wiser and healthier. God bless and more birthdays to celebrate.
Remember: Little prayers for little things fly Heavenwards on little wings, and for all prayers great or small, God is there to read them all.*
