Ramos scores 170 in single
game of Sharp Friendship Cup bowlfest

Romulo “D’Gunner” Ramos toppled a total of 170 pinfalls to lift his team Mulo Car Aircon Services/ASSFBI in the men’s division of the 15th Edition of Sharp Friendship Cup Open Trio Bowling Tournament at the New Top’s Millennium Plaza Alley in Bacolod City.

Tiger Eye I of Cecil Biendo kept the upper hand in the women’s bracket.

The Aircon repair specialist, with Ramos at the helm, now leads in the overall standing from fourth position with an aggregate score of 7,123 points after posting a seventh round total of 1,106 balls.

It is a one pin behind NPBC RJ Stars/LJP 1,107 triple mark.

Ramos’ 170 performance sets a new record in a single game and he followed it up with 114 and 149 in the second and third matches.

His total output of 433 in three games, the highest so far this year, is also the new record in individual triple breaking the old mark set by NPBC starter Rey Gargar of 397.

Erstwhile leader Sharp Quattron of Irne “Pretty Boy”Diaz slipped to second with 7,086 after a measly seventh round output of 958.

Silverado 2/ASSFBI of Cecil Ramon Silverio occupied the third spot with 7,049 followed by Sharp Blue Diamond and NOCE-Needs/ASSFBI with 7,005 and 6,998 each.

NPBC/RJ Stars/LJP of Steve Po climbed to sixth from 9th position with Robbie Elegado’s Kami Mga Hubin I with identical 6,978.

Davies II of Edgar Jerez has 6,944; ESD Electronz I, 6,927;  Easyweld/TNT Construction, 6,922; Silverado I/ASSFBI, 6,908; Candles/Alimon Steel, 6,852; Bago City Bowlers Association, 6,847; FRM Marketing, 6,828; ESD Electronz II, 6,769; Davies I, 6,761; Sanyo, 6,674; Kami Mga Hubin Too, 6,652, and Dep-Ed, 6,552.

Tiger Eye I leads the women’s category with 6,742.

Completing the cast are Condura ASSFBI Ladies, 6,652; Davies Fusion I, 6,403; RJ Stars/NPBC, 6,290; Davies Fusion II, 6,279; Tiger Eye II, 6,266; Panasonic/ON-BACIBA, 6,199; Kami Mga Gwapa, 6,071, and Racahe, 5,860.

Silverado and NPBC hold the team’s highest single and triple with 408 and 1,107, while Tiger Eye I recorded 379 and 1,030 in the women’s side.

Edjie Balayo of Davies record in highest pinning is intact with 98, as Cecil Biendo of TE I in the women’s single and triple with 141 and 368, respectively.
