Bowlers eye title in Sharp tilt

The 15th Sharp Friendship Cup Bowling Tournament top 10 bowlers will vie for the master’s crown tonight at the New Top’s Millennium Plaza Alley in Bacolod City.

Game time is set at 6 p.m.

Vying for the coveted title in the men’s division is Allan Baer of Silverado/Amor 2 ASSFBI, who led the competitors after topping the elimination phase with 117.33 aggregate, while Condura/ASSFBI Ladies mainstay Sylvia del Rosario is on top in the distaff side with 108.63 points.

Challenging the top seeds in separate bracket are Nonoy Ayagan (NOCE Needs ASSFBI), 117, Matt Gaudite (Sharp Blue Diamond), 115.86, Willy Mahilum (NPBC/RJ Stars/MJS/LJP), 115.25, Edgar De Leon (Sharp Aquos) 114.95, Romulo “D’Gunner’ Ramos (Mulo Car Aircon Services), 114.57, Boy Tisoy Villanueva (ESD Electronz), 113.57, Joe Latoza (Davies), 113.14, Ronald Fernandez (Silverado/ASSFBI), 112.33, and Wilson Casas (Kami Mga Hubin), 111.71 in the men’s category;

Carmen Romales (Tiger Eye), 107.81, Stella Ongsingco (Tiger Eye), 107, Cecile Biendo (Tiger Eye), 106.89, Juliet Regollo (Condura), 106.73, Lea Javier (Condura), 105.50, Suzette Morales (Tiger Eye) 105.14, Susan Robles (Davies Fusion), 104.10, Cora Romero (Panasonic/ON-BACIBA), 102.90, and Ronella Cordero (RJ Stars/NPBC), 101.25 in the women’s corner.

Tournament director Boy Wingpo said the competitors will play three games each and the top four survivors will vie for the title in an up-the-ladder system to determine the champion.*
