Friday was a good day for Negrense yellow volunteers, because President Benigno Aquino came to Bacolod to thank them for their support in the last election, and called them his inspiration as a president.
P-Noy garnered his highest votes in Negros in the May polls last year.
The Carmel Agape house was opened at 11 a.m. for volunteers to register, and closed at 1 p.m. P-Noy arrived at past 2 p.m. and the volunteers gave him a thunderous applause as he entered, with his Cabinet members headed by Butch Abad, with Dinky Soliman, spokesman Edwin Lacierda, Cesar Purisima, Proceso Alcala, and Jessie Robredo, and runningmate Mar Roxas.
Martina Jacinto led the opening prayer at P-Noy’s thanksgiving, followed by Millie Kilayko’s presentation of a video on the yellow volunteers projects for change in Negros, and then GSIS chairman Bitay Lacson introduced the president.
Despite his hectic schedule, P-Noy still had the energy to joke about his receding hairline, his love life, and other matters. Later, he went to the nearby monastery where the Carmelite sisters prayed for him.
With Andy Ayco, Maridel Gamban, and the rest, we proceeded to Bob’s Resto and the place was full of yellow ladies in minutes.
Remember: Delay is not denial, so keep on praying. God’s plan leads to victory.*
