Power interruptions
slated tomorrow

The Central Negros Electric Cooperative Inc. will conduct maintenance and improvement activities that will result in brownouts from 8 to 9 a.m. tomorrow, a press release from CENECO said.

CENECO will energize its 69KV transmission line from Abkasa, Brgy. Mandalagan, Bacolod City to its Talisay sub-station and transfer its 69KV source of Talisay and Silay sub-stations from Cadiz 69KV to Talisay 69KV transmission line, the press release said.

It will also implement simultaneous preventive maintenance of 69KV ABS at Mt. View sub-station and tree trimming from 8 a.m. to noon on the same day.

Member-consumers are advised to turn off their electrical switches during the power interruption for safety reasons and when electricity supply resumes, they must provide allowance of about 10-15 minutes before switching on all electrical appliances and facilities to avoid power surge.

CENECO phone numbers are 1621, 709-1256, 709-1257 and 435-3640 to 55 local 259 for the specific list of affected areas, the press release said.*
