Texters told: Stop asking
for ‘swertres’ numbers

The Negros Oriental government is now appealing to the people to refrain from sending messages asking numbers for “swertres” or the  lucky numbers game to the “I-text mo kang Degamo” program.

The information office of the Capitol has received a lot of text messages asking for “swertres numbers” since the program was launched.

The OIP officer said the hotline number is intended to receive feedback from the programs and projects implemented by the provincial government, adding that they have been receiving several text messages that were asking numbers for “swertres.”

The “I-text mo kang Degamo” hotline number is 09212075236, which serves as the official SMS number that will directly receive all complaints, requests, and suggestions to Gov. Roel Degamo.

The information office of the Capitol added they are compiling all the text messages received including the dates and numbers of the senders for future references.

However, Degamo welcomed all types of messages – from complaints against the programs of the government, against employees and officials, personal concerns, and requests.

This effort is in line with the continuing campaign of the provincial government against red tape, he said.*MA
