A joint team of operatives from law enforcement agencies arrested a suspected drug pusher during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Looc, Dumaguete City, Wednesday.
Arrested was Julius Querosano, 32, single, of Zone 4, Barangay Looc, police reports said.
Seized from the suspect were two plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, a P500 marked bill, and some cash, believed to be proceeds of the sale of the illegal drugs.
Querosano has been under close surveillance for days now after reports reaching authorities indicated he was allegedly peddling “shabu”.
He was arrested by intelligence operatives of the Dumaguete police, and personnel of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, at about 5:30 p.m. after the suspect allegedly transacted a sale of suspected shabu with an undercover agent.
Law enforcement agencies have stepped up their anti-illegal drugs campaign in anticipation of more shipment and transactions of illegal drugs amid festivities this week, in celebration of the city’s 63rd Charter Day anniversary yesterday and the annual fiesta today in honor of the city’s patron saint, St. Catherine of Alexandria.*JFP
