Bacoleños top Dama tilt

Bacoleño Dama artists Melvin Pagaduan, Rey Laurilla and Kenneth Resguardo topped the recently-concluded 12th Dama Tournament held October 15-16 at the Bacolod City Public Plaza.

Pagaduan won over Jimmy Macario of La Castellana in the Category A finals on a tie break. Both players ended 6.5 points but Pagaduan edged Macario on a 35.0 tie-breaker points against 32.0 points.

The Bacoleño took home P1,000 cash and a trophy while Macario pocketed P600 plus trophy.

Talisay City bet Carmelo Cabarles finished third and went home with P400 plus trophy.

Meanhwile, Laurilla emerged champion in the Category B after defeating Judy Magturo, also of La Castellana town. Laurilla pocketed P1,000 cash prize and a trophy while Magturo received P600 cash and a trophy.

Felmar Odon of La Carlota City settled for third and was awarded with P400 cash and a trophy.

Bacoleño Resguardo won the Kiddies category and went home with cash and trophy.

The event was spearheaded by the Bacolod Integrated Dama Association headed by Freddie Madalag, Dino Butantan, vice president, and Rey Bandoy, Secretary.

Sponsoring the event was DIWA Partylist represented by its national president Pete M. Pico and Atty. Rey Gorgonio.
