Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. yesterday distributed 4,361 Negros Occidental Comprehensive Health Program health cards in two towns and cities of Negros Occidental.
Distributed were 1,136 health cards in Pulupandan, 2,157 in Manapla and 1,068 in Cadiz City.
The NOCHP has 63,568 members provincewide.
The target is to cover 170,000 families provincewide but we are a little bit delayed because recipients havenot submitted requirements such as marriage contracts, he said.
The 1,136 health cards for Pulupandan were distributedin the town’s newly-constructed Multi-Purpose Covered Court.
The actual number of Pulupandan recipients of the health cardsare 2,000 but for the first batch 1,136 cards were given and under process are 864 cards for distribution to the next batch.
